The Peter J. Blosser Student Loan Fund Information Guide
Application Requirements
- A resident of Ross County for a minimum of six months
- Maintain a 2.0 grade point average or better
- Recommend submitting application two months prior to needing funds.
- Income criteria – please email or call for current income guidelines
- Co-borrowers are required for all loans, and they must have a good credit rating.
- No origination fee
- Family tax return for borrower and co-borrower
- Recent school transcript or proof of qualifying GPA
- Financial Aid Award Letter
- College billing statement
- College acceptance letter (for first year students only)
- Copy of your driver license or state ID for both borrower and co-borrower
- First time applicants must meet with the Board of Trustees
- Amount received will be based on individual needs and circumstances. The maximum for a school year is $10,000.00.
- Lifetime maximum is $40,000.00
- Loan disbursements are sent directly to the college, university or vocational school of your choice.
- Low interest loans. Current rate is 3% per year
- No prepayment penalty
- Deferred payment plan – payments will be deferred until 6 months after graduation or withdrawal from school. If you like, you can make interest free payments until the deferment period is reached.
